Supporting the Students’ Journey to Basel, Switzerland

Beyond the mesmerizing performances, the ticket proceeds from the show aimed to support the students’ upcoming trip to Basel, Switzerland, where they will undergo training and perform in 2024. This trip holds special significance for PATHS Dance, as they will have the opportunity to study under Armando Braswell, a renowned dancer,  Brooklynite and former student of Mrs. Jones.

Armando, an alumnus of LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and The Juilliard School, founded The Braswell Arts Center in Basel, Switzerland, along with his wife Lisa, in 2017. With a remarkable dance journey that includes performances at Ballet Theatre Munich, Ballet Theatre Basel, and Gauthier Dance Stuttgart, Armando’s collaboration with PATHS Dance began when he taught a Master Class at PATHS in 2022. Inspired by their shared experiences and Mrs. Jones’ mentorship, the idea to bring Brooklyn to Basel took shape.
